Belgian Police Investigate Death of Moroccan Woman Found in Bathtub, Partner Charged

The lifeless body of a 44-year-old Moroccan woman was found last Tuesday in the bathtub of her home located in Kapelle-op-den-Bos, in the province of Flemish Brabant in Belgium. Her partner was arrested for homicide.
According to the site hln.be, a preliminary investigation was opened by the police services to determine the alleged involvement of the partner in the murder of the 44-year-old victim.
The results of the autopsy have, for the moment, exonerated the 66-year-old suspect, while the Public Prosecutor’s Office has decided to prosecute him for negligence. According to the police statement, he had taken time to alert the emergency services.
On the other hand, an investigation has been opened by the police services, under the supervision of the Public Prosecutor’s Office, to determine the circumstances of the victim’s death.
