Twelve Migrants Found in Refrigerated Truck Near Antwerp, Belgium

The Belgian federal police discovered 12 migrants in a refrigerated truck during the night of Tuesday, October 29 to Wednesday, October 30, on the outskirts of the city of Antwerp.
A statement from the Belgian police said that the security services were alerted by the driver of a fruit and vegetable truck, who suspected the presence of foreign persons on board his vehicle.
12 adult illegal immigration candidates, more precisely 11 Syrians and 1 Sudanese, in "good health", were apprehended during a stop at a rest area and taken to the Immigration Office in Antwerp.
Having stowed away in the truck without the driver’s knowledge, the 12 migrants were taken into custody and an investigation was opened to determine whether they intended to go to the United Kingdom.
