Belgian-Moroccan Teen Sarah Chaari Clinches Gold at Junior World Taekwondo Championships

Another victory added to the record of the Belgian taekwondo athlete of Moroccan origin Sarah Chaari, who won the gold medal a few days ago at the Junior World Championships in the -63 kg category after four fights.
An exceptional journey for this young athlete who, at only 17 years old, has an impressive record. She has already won the bronze medal at the Cadet World Championships (2019), the gold medal at the Junior European Championships (2021) and several gold medals in international opens.
For this 2022 Junior World Championships in Sofia, Bulgaria, Sarah qualified for the final after eliminating the Serbian Maric Ela in the semi-final. The final that opposed her to the Iranian Moradi Sheikhlar Saghar was a tight fight but ended up in favor of the Belgian taekwondo athlete.
After this victory, Sarah is already thinking about the other sporting events awaiting her. She will be in Paris in early September for her first participation in a Grand Prix Series (G6).
