BCG Digital Ventures Expands Global Footprint with New Innovation Center in Morocco

BCG Digital Ventures (BCGDV), the innovation and business creation arm of Boston Consulting Group (BCG), is launching three new centers, including one in Casablanca. The firm is now present in 12 countries with 16 centers.

BCG Digital Ventures has announced the opening of three new centers: two in India (New Delhi and Mumbai) and in Casablanca. The American firm is thus positioning itself in fast-growing ecosystems in terms of pioneering technologies, artificial intelligence (AI) and startup creation. Through the opening of these new centers, it intends to take advantage of the combined efforts of BCGDV with BCG GAMMA and BCG Platinion (Casablanca) to transform key markets and industries in each country, reports Business Wire.

"The market expansion in both countries strengthens BCGDV’s solid experience in creating and launching revolutionary businesses for leading public and private organizations around the world," the American firm said, adding that India and Morocco are both extremely fertile ground for tech entrepreneurs and are teeming with huge opportunities for digital and climate innovation.

"Africa offers many opportunities for digital innovators to use AI and other emerging technologies to improve access to education, healthcare, financial services and energy," said Hamid Maher, managing director and partner at BCG, who is also the new head of the DV Casablanca center. "India is home to the fastest growing startup market in the world," said Nipun Kalra, managing director and partner at BCG, who is also the new head of the BCGDV center in India.

Gross-Selbeck, global managing director of BCG Digital Ventures, adds: "[...] we are looking for places where we can have a significant impact on individuals, technologies and society as a whole, which is why we are particularly excited about the opportunities offered to us to drive real change with our new sites in India and Morocco."
