Indian Tech Giant HCL to Open Delivery Center in Morocco, Creating Thousands of Jobs

HCL technologies, a giant Indian IT company, will set up in Morocco to create a "Delivery center", which could generate thousands of jobs. An agreement has been signed to this effect with the government.
Signed over the weekend in India by Ghita Mezzour, Minister of Digital Transition and Public Administration Reform and Roshni Nadar Malhotra, Chairperson of HCL Technologies (Hindustan Computers Limited), this memorandum marks the Indian outsourcing giant’s willingness to invest in Morocco, according to a statement from the Ministry of Digital Transition and Public Administration Reform.
The company’s objective is to produce high value-added technology services for its global clients, but also to expand its production and delivery capabilities worldwide, leveraging the Kingdom’s strategic position with its geographical proximity to Europe, its status as a gateway to the rest of the African continent, as well as its connectivity and the wealth of Moroccan IT talent.
Through this agreement signed with Morocco, HCL Technologies is making an important strategic choice for the Indian market, which represents more than 52% of the global IT Outsourcing market. For its part, Morocco is now among the top 3 outsourcing destinations in Africa, it is pointed out.
