Casablanca Airport Welcomes Moroccan Diaspora for Summer Homecoming

As part of the Marhaba operation which started on Sunday, Mohammed V International Airport in Casablanca welcomed its first Moroccans living abroad (MRE) who have come to spend their holidays in the country. To this end, efforts have been made by the authorities to ensure the smooth running of the operation.
They are hundreds of MRE on board international flights registered at Casablanca airport coming from various international destinations, reports the MAP, specifying that many of them have expressed their satisfaction and joy at returning to the country to meet their families and loved ones.
More specifically, these MRE have welcomed the Mohammed V Foundation for Solidarity for the measures taken to ensure the return of Moroccans living abroad under good conditions and provide social and medical support at the reception centers under the Marhaba operation.
In this regard, the project manager at the Mohammed V Foundation for Solidarity, Abderrahmane Saber, recalled that Mohammed V International Airport has joined the 23 reception centers set up by the Foundation as part of the "Marhaba 2022" operation inside and outside Morocco, adding that this year, two new spaces have been set up at Rabat-Salé airport and M’diq.
In addition, the National Airports Office (ONDA) indicated that it has set up a coordination cell at the Casablanca Mohammed V airport to monitor the operation, reduce passenger processing times and strengthen human resources at passport control and health control posts.
