Bayern Munich Resolves Controversy Over Mazraoui’s Pro-Palestinian Social Media Posts

Bayern Munich has taken measures to close the controversy surrounding Moroccan player Noussair Mazraoui following his support for Palestine.
In a statement released on Friday, the club said it had had an in-depth discussion with Mazraoui about his Instagram posts, which had caused an uproar and criticism due to their content perceived as related to terrorism against Israel.
The controversy emerged following an Instagram story by Mazraoui, the former Ajax player, showing Al Quds and a verse from the Quran, interpreted as a gesture of solidarity with the Palestinians. Faced with the outcry, the club and the player spoke out. Jan-Christian Dreesen, CEO of Bayern, stated: "Noussair Mazraoui has convincingly assured that as a pacifist person, he firmly rejects terrorism and war. He regrets if his messages have caused outrage. FC Bayern condemns the Hamas attack on Israel."
Mazraoui himself insisted on his condemnation of terrorism in all its forms. In a broader context, the club reaffirmed its commitment not to tolerate hatred from the Middle East conflicts infiltrating Germany. "Nothing justifies the murder of children and families," the club said.
