Bayern’s Mazraoui Challenges Pavard for Starting Role as French Star Eyes Exit

Moroccan international Noussair Mazraoui is working to establish himself at Bayern Munich to the point of taking the place of French international Benjamin Pavard, who is currently struggling. The latter is also expressing his desire to leave the German club.
Has Noussair Mazraoui become a threat to Benjamin Pavard? The Atlas Lion is gradually taking the place of the French international. The management of Bayern Munich is also said to be very satisfied with his performances and considers him a replacement for the French defender if the latter decides to leave this summer, reports Bavarian football works. In the Champions League, the French international, injured after 20 minutes of playing time in the match against Stuttgart which ended in a draw (2-2), was replaced by the Moroccan international, who seized this opportunity to show that he is capable of the best.

The management of Bayern Munich does not express the same sentiment towards Benjamin Pavard. It has criticized the recent comments of the French international on his future. The 26-year-old player recently said that he is quite willing to leave the German club and experience something new elsewhere, as there have not yet been any discussions about a possible new contract. His current contract with Bayern expires in June 2024. Statements described as "useless" by the club officials.
