Bank Robbery Suspect Arrested in Beni Mellal, Morocco

Accused of being the author of the robbery of a bank last month in the Beni Mellal region, a suspect has just been arrested by the police.
The 28-year-old individual was arrested for "his alleged involvement in the robbery of an Al Barid Bank agency on May 29, under the threat of a bladed weapon." He had also used, according to the General Directorate of National Security (DGSN), a tear gas bomb during the robbery of the bank agency.
During the searches carried out at his home, the police managed to get their hands on the balaclava, the bladed weapon, the tear gas bomb, as well as the clothes he was wearing during this robbery. A woman who was with him was also arrested. She is accused of having an "illegal relationship" with the defendant.
And that’s not all, since the agents arrested his brother, whose "fingerprinting operation" revealed that he was the subject of a national arrest warrant for a case of aggravated theft.
All three individuals were taken into custody "to elucidate the criminal acts attributed to them, while the searches and investigations continue to determine and recover all the objects stolen by the main suspect in this case."
