Attempted Robbery at Tangier Money Transfer Agency Leaves One Injured, Suspect Arrested

A young man, about twenty years old, was arrested on Saturday, June 29, 2019, by the Tangier police, following an attempted robbery of a money transfer agency.
The incident occurred in Beni Makada, in Tangier, informs the General Directorate of National Security (DGSN), in a press release published on its Twitter account, according to which the man is 22 years old.
"The suspect, who was accompanied by two other accomplices, was caught in the act of attempting a violent robbery inside a money transfer agency," specifies the DGSN, which states that one of the agency’s employees was injured during this attempted robbery.
Two other accomplices managed to flee and are currently being identified in order to be apprehended, the Police Directorate said.
Placed in custody, the suspect will be brought before the courts as soon as the ongoing investigation by the Prefectural Judicial Police Service is completed.
