Bahraini Fugitive Arrested in Morocco: Drugs Seized, International Warrant Executed

The Tangier police arrested a Bahraini under an international arrest warrant issued by the authorities of his country and at the same time seized large quantities of drugs during the search of his apartment.
The arrest of the Bahraini took place on September 13 in an apartment in the city of the Strait. During the operation, the local authorities also arrested a 20-year-old girl with whom he was having an extramarital sexual relationship and seized large quantities of drugs, particularly cannabis resin, reports the Arabic-language daily Al Akhbar. The 38-year-old man was sentenced to imprisonment for intentional violence resulting in permanent disability in his country.
Pending the conclusions of the judicial investigation conducted by the competent public prosecutor’s office, the Bahraini and the young woman were placed in custody. The police should then bring them before the justice system.
