Australian Pedophile Suspect Arrested in Morocco Following Interpol Notice

An Australian national, the subject of a green notice issued by Interpol, was apprehended by the Tourist Police services in Rabat, for possession of child pornographic photos.
The 50-year-old individual was caught taking photos of minors in swimsuits on the beach in Rabat. A first check of his mobile phone did not reveal any photos of children.
According to the General Directorate of National Security (DGSN), a search of the hotel room he was occupying allowed the seizure of a laptop where child pornographic photos taken, according to the police conclusions, on beaches outside Morocco were stored.
The green Interpol notice, which he is the subject of, was issued by the Australian authorities, for the reason of illegal taking of photos of minors in swimsuits.
An investigation has been opened by the police services, under the supervision of the Public Prosecutor’s Office, in order to determine the circumstances of the case and identify the criminal acts with which he is charged.
