Armed Gang Pulls Off Major Bank Heist in Moroccan City of Ouarzazate

It was almost a Hollywood-style robbery that occurred yesterday in Ouarzazate where a group of men broke into a bank before leaving with a large sum of money.
It was around 9 a.m., just after the opening of the agency, when several individuals, five according to witnesses, broke into a bank located in the commune of Tarmikt, near Ouarzazate. On site, no customers but the security guard and the branch manager. The robbers did not hesitate to strike the two employees before taking all the cash from the tills, reports the local site chtoukapress.
Before leaving, they took possession of the surveillance cameras as well as the various recordings to prevent, they probably think, their identification by the investigators.
Immediately after the robbery, the gendarmerie, scientific and technical police services went to the scene and an investigation was opened to try to identify the members of the gang.
The amount of the robbery is unknown for the moment and no statement from the General Directorate of National Security (DGSN) has come to confirm the facts or the course of this robbery.
