Argentina Edges Morocco 1-0 in Tense, Foul-Filled Match
A rather uninteresting match tonight between the Moroccan team and Argentina with many fouls, yellow cards on both sides and the wind that bothered the players, the spectators and even the cameramen.
The match ended with Argentina’s 1-0 victory and from the first minutes of the first half the players came to blows and it took firmness (via the yellow cards) to reluctantly bring the players back to reason.
In front of a very large audience, with a stadium almost full, in addition to some officials such as the president of the Royal Moroccan Football Federation (FRMF) Fouzi Lekjaâ, Morocco tried to create opportunities, especially in the second half. Without success.
But the knockout blow came in the 83rd minute with Angel Correa’s goal and despite the attempts of the Atlas Lions to score, the score remained unchanged.
The Moroccan team’s next match will be in June.
