Angolan Man Caught Smuggling 230 Grams of Cocaine in Stomach at Casablanca Airport

Aged 35, he had arrived on December 14 in Casablanca via a flight from Sao Paulo, the General Directorate of National Security (DGSN) said in a statement, specifying that the scanning control procedures had detected suspicious products in his intestines.

The suspect was transferred to the Ibn Rochd University Hospital in Casablanca for medical examinations, which made it possible to extract 85 capsules containing 230 grams of cocaine, the DGSN explains.

Last month, a woman also of Angolan nationality was arrested with 1,200 grams of cocaine at the same airport after disembarking from a plane from Sao Paulo.
