IT and Banking Lead Job Growth in Morocco’s 2022 Employment Market

The sector that has hired the most this year in Morocco is IT. It is followed by the banking sector.
What are the sectors and professions that have hired the most this year in the kingdom? Based on the job offers published by companies during the year, Rekrute answered this question by publishing its new employment barometer.
According to the platform, the job market has regained an average pace after the many post-Covid recruitments. Thus, the volume of job offers recorded a slight decrease of 4% compared to 2021, in terms of published announcements.
According to the data, the call center and IT sectors remain the two biggest recruiters this year, marking a 42% growth compared to 2021 in the number of open positions. The sector generated 17% of the positions opened in 2022 instead of only 12% in 2021, a growth that continues to increase every year.
At the same time, banking, which ranks among the 3 most attractive sectors this year and was stagnant in 2021, has tripled the percentage of open positions in 2022, going from 4% in 2021 to 12% in 2022. Moreover, the novelty this year is the arrival of the "Banking Professions" function, which has almost doubled its demand in 2022, ranking in the top 3 of the ranking.
