Alsa-City Bus to Create 1,750 Jobs in Rabat with New Fleet Launch

The Alsa-City bus group, the delegated manager of urban bus transportation in Rabat-Salé-Témara, intends to create 1,750 direct jobs in the very near future. This job creation will take shape after the commissioning of its fleet of vehicles.

According to Alberto Perez, CEO of Alsa Morocco, the Spanish subsidiary of the British transport company, will create 1,750 direct jobs with the resources put in place in the agglomeration and its 12 municipalities covered by the urban bus transport contract.

The creation of these jobs was conditioned by the commissioning of the company’s vehicle fleet. According to Alberto Perez, the fleet initially includes 150 new generation buses, designed with respect for the environment and equipped in accordance with international technical standards in terms of safety and comfort.

Likewise, the new buses, he said, are equipped with surveillance cameras at a rate of four cameras per bus, as well as wifi and air conditioning. They also provide access for people with reduced mobility.

To recall, the transport network of the Rabat-Salé-Témara agglomeration extends over 1,084 km. It has 58 lines, for a total estimated number of users of more than 60 million per year.
