Alleged Court Case Fixer Arrested in Agadir Following Social Media Tip

Following the press release dated March 3, 2020 concerning the opening of a judicial investigation in this case, the preliminary investigations made it possible to arrest one of the suspects and to submit his voice to technical expertise at the Institute of Video and Audio Analysis of the Royal Gendarmerie in Rabat.

The individual was brought before the King’s Prosecutor at the Court of First Instance in Agadir, after the results, and following the preliminary investigation procedure conducted on this matter.

In accordance with Articles 540 and 380 of the Penal Code, the prosecution requested an investigation against the suspect for the offenses of fraud and interference in a public function or the performance of an act of that function. The prosecution also issued a committal order, approved by the investigating judge, who also set March 19, 2020 as the deadline for the detailed interrogation.

Judicial investigations against other persons, regarding a number of relevant facts and circumstances, are continuing, under the supervision of the Public Prosecutor’s Office, in order to shed full light on this case.
