Algerian Coach Belmadi Backs Moroccan Players in FIFA Best Awards Vote

Algerian coach Djamel Belmadi created a surprise during the "FIFA The Best 2022" vote by supporting Morocco in various categories.

In the category of best goalkeeper, the coach of the Fennecs voted for Yassine Bounou then Emiliano Martinez and Ederson, goalkeeper of Manchester City where the Algerian Riyad Mahrez plays. Emiliano Martinez will be named The Best goalkeeper 2022.
For the coaches, Djamel voted for his long-time friend, the coach of the Atlas Lions Walid Regragui then Lionel Scaloni, the Argentine coach world champion 2022 and Carlo Ancelotti, winner of the Champions League with Real Madrid. In the end, it is the Argentine coach who was awarded the trophy for best coach 2022.
