Algeria Coach Belmadi Slams Stadium Conditions After Morocco Match Debacle

The coach of the Algerian national team is angry. The poor state of the Algerian pitches is giving him a hard time.
"It’s unfortunate, I saw the sad spectacle. I was ashamed in the presence of the President of the Moroccan Federation. The national anthem that doesn’t work, the power that is cut off, the lawn in poor condition, all that after our consecration in the Africa Cup of Nations."
This is how Djamel Belmadi expressed his anger to the press on Tuesday, October 8, 2019. He is saddened by the poor state of the country’s stadiums.
Yet "we are told that stadiums will be delivered in the first quarter of 2020, but for the moment we do not know which will be our stadium [...] We have a real stadium problem. For a year I have been traveling to Tchaker, and every time they tell me the same thing. I was there yesterday (Monday, October 7) and it’s really just a makeshift job," he said, dejected.
