Algeria Clarifies Ex-Moroccan Star Ouaddou’s Role in National Team Staff

The former Moroccan international, Abdeslam Ouaddou, is not the new assistant of Djamel Belmadi. The reasons for his presence in the Algerian technical staff are rather professional.
The news has been denied by the Algerian Football Federation (FAF). It provided details, denying the rumors about the status of the former defender of the Atlas Lions within the Algerian technical staff.
According to the FAF, the former Moroccan international, Abdeslam Ouaddou, who currently holds the position of coach at the training center of AS Nancy-Lorraine, will join, as an intern, the technical staff of the Algerian national team, from the next training camp of the Greens, scheduled in March, as part of the preparation of his UEFA Pro License.
The former international expressed his joy at joining the Algerian national team, the African champion, and thanked the national coach, Djamel Belmadi, as well as the president of the Algerian Football Federation, Kheireddine Zetchi, for their kindness.
It should be noted that Abdeslam Ouaddou and Djamel Belmadi have already played together at Valenciennes (2009-2010) and collaborated at the Qatari club Lekhwiya, respectively as a player and as a coach.
