Algeria Advances to Arab Cup Semifinals with Victory over Morocco

Algerian President Abdelmadjid Tebboune and other senior officials in the country congratulated the national team after their victory against Morocco in the last quarter-final of the Arab Cup.
"One and a half million congratulations heroes", wrote President Abdelmadjid Tebboune, who is also Minister of National Defense, on his Twitter account. In addition to the President, the Prime Minister, Minister of Finance, Aïmene Benabderrahmane, and the Minister of Foreign Affairs and the National Community Abroad, Ramtane Lamamra, congratulated the Algerian selection after their qualification for the semi-finals of the FIFA Arab Cup.
Army Corps General, Saïd Chanegriha, Chief of Staff of the People’s National Army (ANP) also congratulated the Fennecs after their qualification against the Atlas Lions in the FIFA Arab Cup and wished them further success.
On Saturday, Algeria defeated Morocco on penalties (5-3) in the last quarter-final of the Arab Cup and thus qualified for the semi-finals. The Fennecs will face Qatar on Wednesday, December 15, 2021 for a place in the final.
