Ajax Amsterdam Blocks Moroccan Internationals from National Team Duty Amid COVID Concerns

Zakaria Labyad and Noussair Mazraoui join Munir El Haddadi on the list of players who will not be present for the friendly matches of October 9 and 13. For health safety reasons, Ajax Amsterdam has decided to retain its Moroccan internationals.
Bad news for Vahid Halilhodzic who will have to rework his calculations even beyond these two friendly matches. Ajax Amsterdam does not want to send its players to areas classified as orange and red by the Dutch government. The Moroccan Football Federation barely hides its discontent and thinks of seizing FIFA to settle this dispute.
Even if the coach could get out of it and fill the void, it must be said that the situation is quite critical. Vahid Halilhodzic has already replaced the injured Zouhair Feddal with Sporting Portugal. He was replaced by Yunis Abdelhamid. There is also Nabil Dirar, who tested positive for coronavirus and had to give way to Achraf Lazaar.
