Ajax Stars Benched After Pro-Palestinian Social Media Post Amid Israel-Hamas Conflict

The Ajax Amsterdam players, Noussair Mazraoui and Zakaria Labyad were absent from the match against VVV-Venlo. This absence follows a photo the two Moroccans shared on Instagram to support Palestine in the conflict opposing it to Israel.
Noussair Mazraoui and Zakaria Labyad soon to be fired from Ajax? The sidelining of the two players from the Ajax-VVV-Venlo match sounds like harbingers. Questioned about their absence, the team’s coach Erik ten Hag responds in these terms to ESPN: "injured or sick".
Since the start of the Israeli air strikes, the clashes between Hamas and the Hebrew state have cost the lives of 103 Palestinians, including 27 children and 580 injured. In an Instagram post, the two players expressed their support for Palestine. "Free Palestine," the players wrote. This post has sparked heated controversy. Ajax supporters have called on the club’s officials to fire the two players or severely sanction them.
