Agadir Wedding Celebration Halted by Police for Violating COVID-19 Restrictions

Yet another wedding party that ends with the arrest of the newlyweds and their guests. The local authorities of the city of Agadir carried out a police intervention in the Sonaba district, to put an end to the celebrations for non-compliance with the state of health emergency.
According to the site Al3omk, the head of the 3rd district was informed "that a family had organized a wedding ceremony with guests exceeding the number authorized by the law at the moment," due to the coronavirus pandemic.
The local authorities, accompanied by police officers, arrived at the wedding venue and surrounded it. The guests were arrested to be heard as part of a report.
Last week, the same events occurred in Rabat with the arrival of the police who put an end to a wedding ceremony. This party was animated by the Moroccan star Abderrahim Souiri, who was also arrested by the police.
