Agadir Tightens COVID-19 Restrictions as Cases Surge in Moroccan City

Faced with the resurgence of new infections, the local authorities of the prefecture of Agadir Ida-Outanane decided, on Saturday, to strengthen the preventive measures for two weeks to counter the Covid-19 pandemic.
Two more weeks of confinement for the residents of Agadir. This measure was decided, following the report of the regular monitoring operations of the epidemiological situation, according to a press release from the prefecture. It also comes in response to the increase in cases of contamination in recent weeks, the same press release specifies.
As of Saturday, December 5, the Souss region recorded 394 new infections with 3 deaths in Agadir Ida-Outanan.
