Agadir Taxi Drivers to Learn English and German for Tourism Boost

From now on, taxi drivers in Agadir must learn certain foreign languages. This is the result of an agreement signed between the Universities, the Tourism Council and the association of taxi drivers in the capital of Souss.
German and English are the two languages that taxi drivers must learn in order to communicate better with tourists. The agreement that offers this opportunity to taxi drivers was signed by the president of Ibn Zohr University, Abdelaziz Bendou, the director of the Higher School of Education and Training (ESEF), Abderrahmane Amsidder, the president of the Agadir Souss-Massa Regional Tourism Council (CRT/Agadir SM), Rachid Dahmaz, and the president of the TAWADA Association of Agadir taxi drivers, Belaid Ouanam.
This agreement is part of the tourism promotion strategy of the Souss-Massa region, and the joint action plan CRT/Agadir-SM, for the capacity building of tourism sector actors. The objective is to enhance the role played by taxi drivers, especially since they are the ones who interact with tourists when they come on vacation.
