Agadir Beach Makes Telegraph’s Top 50 World Beaches List

According to the ranking of a famous British daily, a Moroccan beach is among the 50 most beautiful beaches in the world.
The beach of Agadir has been ranked in the top 50 established by the editors of the British daily The Telegraph. Travel and culture journalist Sophie Dickinson describes it as "an oasis dotted with camels on the edge of the Atlantic." "In the 1970s, Agadir’s long, winding beach was an ideal place to relax. Surfers and hippies lounged on its golden sand and admired the scorching Moroccan sunsets. Today, surf schools dot the coastline and, while the crashing waves often mean swimming means taking a beating, they’re ideal for paddling, especially on hot summer days. The beach is also quite lively, with horseback riders and camel caravans entertaining tourists," she writes. According to the journalist, several activities can be carried out on the Agadir beach: surfing, sunbathing, and camel and horse rides.
