Aerospace Giant Pratt & Whitney to Open Manufacturing Facility in Casablanca

Pratt & Whitney, a giant in aircraft engine manufacturing, has just announced its intention to establish an affiliate company in Casablanca. Called Pratt & Whitney Morocco (PWM), the entity will be responsible for the manufacture of various parts for various types of engines.
This strategic investment is part of the company’s desire to expand its supply capabilities and optimize the use of its assets. The location of Morocco was chosen after a global comparative analysis, particularly thanks to its aerospace cluster, its business-friendly economic climate and the availability of a skilled workforce, it is indicated.
According to Maria Della Posta, President of Pratt & Whitney Canada, "Morocco offers three major advantages for aerospace manufacturing." She highlighted the pool of highly qualified workforce in Casablanca, the economic stability of the country and the support of the Moroccan government. Pratt & Whitney Morocco, operating as an independent affiliate company, aims to create 200 high-quality jobs by 2030.
The 12,075 m² facility will be built following "lean" principles and a CORE methodology, aimed at promoting efficiency and quality, while reducing complexity and costs. Construction work is expected to begin in the fourth quarter of 2023, with an inauguration scheduled for 2025.
