Morocco Bolsters Air Force with $212 Million US Fighter Jet Engine Deal

Morocco has ordered fighter jet engines from the American company Raytheon, specialized in defense systems. This will further strengthen its armament.
The order concerns the purchase of F100-PW-229 installation engines, manufactured by the company Pratt & Whitney, a subsidiary of Raytheon, indicates the US Department of Defense. It is part of an indefinite delivery/indefinite quantity contract worth (212.05 million dollars). The delivery of the engines should take place on June 30, 2025.
To strengthen its armament, Morocco had requested the acquisition of 25 F-16C/D Block 72 jets, built by Lockheed Martin, and 29 Pratt & Whitney F100-229 engines and other related equipment from the United States as part of a transaction approved in 2019. The amount of this transaction could reach 3.9 billion dollars.
