Morocco Bolsters Firefighting Fleet with New Canadair CL-415 Aircraft

Morocco should soon receive one of the three Canadair CL-415s it ordered from Canada, in order to strengthen its fleet of firefighting aircraft.
Bombardier Aerospace should deliver to the Royal Air Force "in a few days" one of the three Canadair CL-415s - the CL-415EAF type - that Morocco ordered in September 2021, says Far-Maroc, the website specialized in Defense issues. This reception will bring to six the number of Canadairs owned by Morocco. It had acquired five Canadairs in 2011.
The Canadair CL-415, also known as the Bombardier 415 by its manufacturer, is an amphibious water bomber aircraft specialized in firefighting. Equipped with Pratt & Whitney Canada PW123AF turboprop engines, the aircraft cruises at a maximum speed of 359 km/h. It can refuel at sea in a river, lake or reservoir in 12 seconds.
