Figeac Aéro and Safran Partner on $150M Airbus A320neo Nacelle Deal, Expand to Morocco

Figeac Aéro, a manufacturer of aeronautical parts, has just concluded an agreement with Safran Nacelles, a key player in the aircraft nacelle sector. The agreement concerns the production of thousands of high value-added metal components for the nacelles of Airbus A320neo aircraft equipped with LEAP-1A engines. This contract is valued at around 140 million euros over a ten-year period.
The first deliveries are expected during this period, which would ensure a continuous supply for Safran Nacelles.
In addition to production in France, the agreement provides for the creation of a new production site in Morocco (Casablanca), which will generate around fifty skilled jobs. This multi-site production plan will allow Figeac Aéro to keep pace with Safran Nacelles’ production rate and extend its business model, which aims to establish industrial sites close to customers and produce complex parts locally.
This contract, which is part of the continuity of an existing agreement, represents additional revenue of around 80 million euros. The first deliveries are expected in the second half of fiscal year 2023/24. The agreement is in line with Figeac Aéro’s new strategy, which aims to replicate its business model based on the expertise of an industrial site of excellence close to customers. Indeed, it allows the group to strengthen its confidence in achieving its 2025 objectives.
