Boeing Expands Moroccan Aerospace Footprint: Figéac Aéro to Produce 737 MAX Parts in Casablanca

In partnership with Boeing, the Figéac Aéro group will produce aluminum parts for the 737 MAX short-haul aircraft from the Casablanca Aéronautique site.

The aerospace group announced in a press release the conclusion of a new partnership with the American giant for the production of a set of aluminum parts for the Boeing 737 MAX at the Casablanca Aéronautique site, one of the largest of Figéac Aéro with 900 employees, and bringing together several industrial know-how, including machining, sheet metal work, surface treatment and assembly.

For Emily Belgrade, Vice President of Boeing Commercial Airplane’s Global Supply Chain, "this partnership clearly underscores our desire to support the creation of a robust aerospace ecosystem in Morocco." And she added: "We are proud to create partnerships that will benefit both Boeing and Morocco in the years to come."

This new partnership is a major breakthrough, rejoices Jean-Claude Maillard, CEO of Figéac Aéro, quoted in the press release. "This new agreement perfectly underscores our strategy of global coverage associated with a strong local presence. It also reflects the growth opportunities of our production sites in Morocco and around the world."

This new agreement with Boeing is part of the PILOT 28 strategic plan, which places North America at the heart of the aerospace group’s development, the note points out, indicating that this partnership reinforces Figéac Aéro’s ability to achieve its objectives.
