Abdelwahab Doukkali at the center of a controversy

Artist Abdelwahab Doukkali declared that he considers any artist who plans to retire a "traitor". These remarks sparked a heated controversy.
"The artist who retires, I consider him a traitor," Doukkali said, on the sidelines of his participation in the "Moroccan Night" in Saudi Arabia, alongside Hatim Ammor, Zina Daoudia, and Abdelfattah Grini. The Moroccan musician finds it inconceivable for an artist to retire, as art is a "great" profession and the artist conveys messages through his art.
These statements by the musician have sparked a flood of criticism on social media. Internet users believe that the decision to retire is personal and that each artist, depending on their principles and beliefs, is free to end their career at any time.
