Ziyech’s Late Assist Seals Morocco’s Victory Over Senegal in Friendly Match
Although he was still recovering, the Moroccan international Hakim Ziyech played the last minutes of the friendly match between Morocco and Senegal. He was the author of a decisive pass.
The Moroccan player answered the call of the Moroccan coach, Vahid Hallilhdzic, like his other teammates, by traveling to Morocco despite his state of health. During the first half dominated by the Atlas Lions, several yellow cards were distributed. Selim Amallah of Standard de Liège opened the scoring in the 10th minute.
The second half saw the entry of the Moroccan midfielder a few minutes before the final whistle. Author of a decisive pass on a magnificently struck free kick, he offered a golden opportunity to Youssef El Arabi, who converted it in the 86th minute.
Transferred to Chelsea at the beginning of July, Hakim Ziyech was injured in the knee. According to the medical staff of the English club, he is gradually recovering from his injury and should be operational in a few days. At the end of the first match, the Atlas Lion left his teammates to continue his rehabilitation program with the Blues.
