Chelsea’s Ziyech Sidelined Again: Hamstring Injury Mars Win Over Leeds

Moroccan international Hakim Ziyech was injured again and was only able to play 30 minutes of the match that pitted Chelsea against Leeds on Saturday, December 5. Injured in the hamstrings, he was replaced by Christian Pulisic.
Hakim Ziyech left the field to the ovations of the 2,000 spectators welcomed at Stamford Bridge, as part of the partial easing of anti-Covid measures by the British government. Chelsea did well for the return of supporters to the stadiums.
While the blues were being bullied by Leeds at the start of the game, they were able to find the strength and strategy to beat Leeds 3-1. The club provisionally regains the lead in the English championship, thanks to this performance with goals scored by Olivier Giroud in the 27th minute, Kurt Zouma in the 61st minute and Christian Pulisic in stoppage time.
For now, nothing has leaked about the seriousness of the Moroccan player’s injury. Frank Lampard announced during a press conference that Chelsea will inform the supporters who are concerned about this new injury to Ziyech.
