Ziyech Credits Chelsea’s Tactical Shift for Resurgence Under Tuchel

Moroccan Hakim Ziyech spoke about his adaptation to Chelsea’s game system and expressed, in an interview, his joy at being able to confirm his talent.
In an interview with the official Chelsea website, Ziyech stated that his improvement came after the change of system implemented by coach Thomas Tuchel, who arrived in January 2021. "He has a clear idea of what he wants, how we want to play," he said, praising the merits of his coach.
And he added: "I think I had a few more problems than most players because I had never played in a back five. I needed time. I took that time to adapt, learn lessons, improve. If you see me now, it’s much better."
Regarding the club’s prospects, Ziyech confided that the Blues are aiming to compete on various fronts until the end of the season. "We want to win the two cups we are still in. The league is not really realistic, so what we are really playing for if you talk about trophies is the FA Cup and the Champions League, of course," he said.
Chelsea are in the quarter-finals of the Champions League and the semi-finals of the FA Cup, with matches against Real Madrid and Crystal Palace respectively in April.
