Atletico Madrid Eyes Chelsea’s Ziyech as Potential Transfer Target

Atletico Madrid is looking to acquire the services of Moroccan international Hakim Ziyech if Chelsea, with whom his contract runs until 2025, considers letting him go.
The Colchoneros’ leaders have Hakim Ziyech in their sights. The Moroccan international’s unsatisfactory performances (14 goals in 71 appearances for Chelsea compared to 49 goals in 165 matches with Ajax) could push Chelsea to let their attacking midfielder go, and Atletico Madrid is his potential recruiter, analyzes the Spanish website Fichajes. Although the 29-year-old player has never played in La Liga, he appeals to the Spaniards.
Diego Simeone still believes that Hakim Ziyech is capable of realizing his potential in the Spanish capital. The Spanish club has not, for the moment, communicated on the offer it will propose to the Moroccan international to hope to recruit him. However, it is up to Chelsea to propose the transfer amount. In February 2020, the English club had spent a trifle of 36 million pounds sterling to have the Moroccan international in its squad.
With the Blues, the former Ajax star has won the Champions League, the Super Cup and the Club World Cup. Hakim Ziyech also hopes to help Atletico raise its level if it recruited him. The Colchoneros won the Liga last season but have lost momentum this season.
