Zidane Confirms Hakimi to Remain at Dortmund, Ending Real Madrid Return Speculation

Achraf Hakimi will not return to "Real Madrid". This statement by Zinedine Zidane puts an end to persistent rumors about the Moroccan international’s future.
While he had been loaned by Real Madrid to Borussia Dortmund last season, wild rumors were circulating about a possible return of the player to the Casa Blanca this summer, before the end of the loan.
"It is better for Achraf Hakimi to spend another season with the German club (BVB), there is no reason to break his loan," said Zinedine Zidane in the daily SportBild.
This statement by the coach of the Merengues follows the remarks of the German club’s executives. They did not want their player to return to the ranks of Real Madrid before the expiration of his two-year loan.
"Hakimi will not return to Real Madrid this summer, it is excluded that he will leave," had affirmed the Sporting Director of Dortmund, Michael Zorc, to Football España.
With the German club, Moroccan international Achraf Hakimi scored 3 goals and provided 7 assists in 28 appearances during his first season.
