Young Moroccan Tourist Drowns in Marrakech Hotel Pool Tragedy

Staying in a hotel near Jemaa el-Fna square in Marrakech, a young Moroccan living abroad drowned in the hotel’s swimming pool. He eventually died at the hospital’s emergency room.
Trapped at the bottom of the pool, the 20-year-old young man could not be resuscitated despite the efforts of the Emergency Services of Ibn Tofail Hospital in Marrakech.
Originally from Casablanca, the young man found himself trapped at the bottom of the pool before being extracted in extremis by a foreign tourist who was on the spot. According to Kech24, he had swallowed a significant amount of water.
The tragedy that occurred last Saturday saw the intervention of the city’s police services. They opened an investigation to clarify the circumstances of the case.
