Young Graduate Found Dead on Bridge in Skhirat, Morocco; Investigation Launched

The lifeless body of a young graduate was found hanging on the Wadi Iqim bridge in Skhirat. An investigation is underway to determine the circumstances surrounding his death.

Ayoub Abous, a young man from Kenitra and a graduate of the National School of Commerce and Management (ENCG) in El Jadida, was found lifeless on Thursday on the Wadi Iqim bridge in Skhirat, reports Morocco World News. A bag containing the victim’s clothes was also found near the body. Immediately, the local authorities and the royal gendarmerie forces intervened on the spot. The civil protection units also went to the scene. The victim’s body was transported to the Rabat morgue for further examination. The authorities have opened an investigation to elucidate the circumstances of Ayoub’s death.

The Association of Students of ENCG El Jadida is in shock after the death of the young graduate. It presented its condolences to the family of the deceased. "It is with deep sadness and great sorrow that we learned today of the discovery of the body of our friend Ayoub Abous, a graduate of ENCGE El Jadida, hung lifeless with a rope around his neck under the Wadi Ikem bridge in the city of Skhirat," the association said in a statement.

On the web, Ayoub’s death has sparked outrage. Moroccan Internet users have launched the hashtag #JusticePourAyoub to demand a thorough investigation into this macabre discovery and justice for the deceased. The investigation will have to determine whether it is a suicide or a murder.
