New York Teacher Wins $1 Million Betting on Morocco’s World Cup Upset

A New York teacher said he won $1 million by betting on Morocco’s qualification for the World Cup quarter-finals.
It is Action Network that reports the story of this lucky man. The 20-year-old said he was teaching elementary school students how to play volleyball, trying to distract himself from his bet that could earn him $1 million.
The teacher said he bet $90,818.19 on Tuesday morning, the day of the match between Morocco and Spain, on Morocco qualifying for the quarter-finals. Thanks to the feat of the Atlas Lions against La Roja, this bet earned him over $1 million.
When asked about his knowledge of the Moroccan team and his strategy on this risk, the American teacher said he did not know any Moroccan players. Nothing more than a simple intuition". The lucky winner said his intuition was that Morocco was undervalued because no one was betting on them. "I’m not going to lie and say I knew what I was doing. In the end, it was a lucky bet," he added.
