World Cup Stars Ounahi and Amrabat Face Uncertain Futures in Transfer Market

Two Moroccan midfielders, revelations of the 2022 World Cup, are at the heart of an agitated transfer market. Their situations within their clubs seem to have become complicated, leaving doubts about their future.
Azzedine Ounahi, who had arrived at Olympique de Marseille with the ambition to shine, now seems to have lost his place in the sun. Italian coach Roberto De Zerbi is said to no longer count on him.
The midfielder, a revelation of the 2022 World Cup in Qatar, has failed to establish himself durably in the Marseille squad. The Marseille management would consider selling him to replenish the club’s coffers, which are facing financial difficulties. Ounahi would have even refused an offer from Qatar and a loan proposal from Las Palmas.
For his part, Sofyan Amrabat finds himself in an impasse. Manchester United, where he had played on loan last season, does not seem willing to acquire him permanently. Italian and Spanish clubs would be interested, but the Red Devils could try to recover him again on loan, without a purchase option.
A situation that leaves the player in expectation. If no transfer materializes, Amrabat could be forced to stay at Fiorentina, a scenario that would not match his ambitions to join a more prestigious club.
