World Cup-Bound Morocco and USA Clash in Key Friendly Match

In preparation for the World Cup in Qatar, Morocco faces the United States, also qualified, this Wednesday in Cincinnati, Ohio.
Scheduled for 7:30 PM (local time), this friendly match aims to prepare for the match against Canada, Morocco’s next opponent in Group F of the World Cup alongside Belgium and Croatia, reports the MAP, which specifies that this is the fourth time the Atlas Lions have faced the US team in a friendly. The last three times resulted in victories for Morocco.
This match between the two "good challenge" countries, as US team coach Gregg Berhalter described it. He also stressed that "Morocco will be the first African opponent for this group of players, so we are very eager to take on the challenge."
For his part, Vahid Halilhodzic felt that the choice of the United States for a friendly match is relevant given the technical, tactical and physical proximity between American and Canadian football, noting that Morocco’s group at the World Cup is a tough one.
It should be recalled that the Atlas Lions approach the qualifiers for the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations after this match, respectively against South Africa on June 9 in Rabat, and Liberia on June 13 in Casablanca.
