Morocco’s National Team to Play Three Matches in June, Including AFCON Qualifiers

The Royal Moroccan Football Federation (FRMF) published, on Monday, the schedule of the Moroccan national football team’s matches for the month of June.
The Atlas Lions will have three matches in June, two of which will count towards the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) qualifiers, scheduled to take place in Côte d’Ivoire. On its website, the FRMF indicates that "the national team will hold a preparation camp from late May 2022 until mid-June. This camp will include the scheduling of three matches, two of which are official, counting towards the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers in Côte d’Ivoire."
According to the Federation, the first match is a friendly match that will be held on Wednesday, June 1, 2022 in Cincinnati. The Atlas Lions will face the United States national team at 7:30 p.m. Moroccan time. The match is part of the preparations for the 2022 World Cup in Qatar.
As for the other two matches, they are part of the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers. In the first round, the national team will play against South Africa on Thursday, June 9, 2022 at the Prince Moulay Abdellah Sports Complex in Rabat. For their second official match, Romain Saïss and his teammates will face the Liberian selection on Monday, June 13, 2022 (8:00 p.m.) at the Mohammed V Sports Complex in Casablanca.
