World Cup 2022: Former Nigeria Star Offers Morocco Strategy to Upset Spain

Morocco will face Spain in the round of 16 of the 2022 Qatar World Cup after qualifying against Canada. Julius Aghahowa, a former Super Eagles striker, gives the key that can help the Atlas Lions defeat La Roja.
"The performances of the African teams at the World Cup have shown that our game on the continent has improved," said the one who participated in the 2002 World Cup co-hosted by South Korea and Japan to Brila FM, also hailing the performances of the Moroccan team. The latter qualified for the round of 16 for the first time since 1986, after their victory over Canada (2-1) on Thursday.

The Atlas Lions will challenge La Roja on Tuesday, December 6 at the Education City Stadium located in Al Rayyan with the goal of qualifying for the quarter-finals. Julius Aghahowa urges Walid Regragui’s protégés to remain calm throughout the match. "It will be a very difficult match for them (Moroccans) in the round of 16. They must be calm, do not panic," he advised.
The last meeting between Morocco and Spain dates back to the second day of the 2018 World Cup group stage. The match ended in a draw (2-2).
