Two Women Arrested for Attempted Tomb Desecration in Salé Cemetery

The judicial police of Salé arrested two women. They were attempting to desecrate a tomb in the Sidi Bel Abbas cemetery.
The employees in charge of maintaining the Sidi Bel Abbas cemetery unmasked these two women in their attempt to desecrate a tomb for the purposes of witchcraft. Their strategy was to inspect the tombs before any action. The employees of the place then put in place strategies to monitor the surroundings and the cemetery, reports the daily Al Massae.
This maneuver paid off and these women were caught red-handed and held until the arrival of the police. At first, the defendants denied the facts, before admitting them later.
The preliminary investigations showed the involvement of other people in the acts of desecration of tombs and charlatanism. They also revealed on the defendants several objects intended for witchcraft practices, in particular metal plates that are engraved with signs and intended to be thrown into the tombs at the end of their actions.
Faced with the multiplication of acts of desecration of tombs in recent times, surveillance operations around the Sidi Bel Abbas cemetery have been strengthened.
