Wizz Air Restarts Warsaw-Marrakech Flights, Boosting Morocco Tourism

Monday 11 October 2021, by Sylvanus

Wizz Air will operate the Warsaw-Marrakech route with two weekly flights every Monday and Friday, reports the MAP. Airbus A320 aircraft with 180 seats or Airbus A321 with 230 seats are chartered to operate flights departing from Warsaw Chopin Airport at 12:35 pm for arrival at 5:30 pm at Marrakech Menara Airport, it is specified.

The announcement of the resumption of this flight follows the signing of a partnership and contract between the Moroccan National Tourist Office (ONMT) and the Hungarian company Wizz Air for the 2021/2022 winter season until the end of March 2022 with the possibility of renewal for the summer 2022 season.

The resumption of this direct line to Marrakech will bring Polish tourists closer to the Moroccan destination. It will also allow to attract a more diversified clientele with the possibility of developing MICE and City Break in the ochre city from Poland. The reopening of this route will thus strengthen the presence of the Moroccan destination on the Polish market as well as in Eastern Europe, considered one of the most important emerging markets.
