Wikipedia Vandalism Labels Moroccan Singer Dounia Batma with Vulgar Term
On the Wikipedia page about Moroccan artist Dounia Batma, the latter is described as a "prostitute". Her biography has been modified by an Internet user, who amused himself by entering the term in Moroccan dialect.
It is with the vulgar term "prostitute" that the Moroccan artist has been described on the pages of the Wikipedia encyclopedia. According to Le360, the term "singer" has been modified to "prostitute" in colloquial Arabic (we’ll let you look up the term in Moroccan dialect!)
In a statement to the site, the Moroccan artist announced that she was aware of the facts and would be looking for solutions to make the necessary changes.
The online universal encyclopedia platform, Wikipedia, uses wiki technology, allowing anyone to make changes to the site’s content.
