West Ham’s Issa Diop Delays Decision on Morocco National Team Offer

The Moroccan-Senegalese player Issa Diop has not yet responded to the request of the Royal Moroccan Football Federation (FRMF) to wear the jersey of the Atlas Lions. The player, who plays as a defender at West Ham, prefers the French team, while Didier Deschamps does not seem to involve him in his future plans.
The national coach was looking forward to welcoming Issa Diop to the next gathering of the Atlas Lions, as part of the two friendly matches against Burkina Faso and Ghana. But the player is still hesitating to join the den of the Lions, reports Al Massae.
The West Ham defender has informed the FRMF emissaries that he will not come in June. The technical officials of the FRMF have been trying to convince the player for several months, as he is first sounding out the French national football team, even though he has not been called up by coach Didier Deschamps to play in the Euro starting in a few days.
For his part, Vahid Halilhodžić plans to unveil his next list this Thursday during a press conference, according to the daily, which also adds that the coach has already finalized the list with his staff.
